Terms of sale

Who we are. Ovatap is operated by Ascendaco Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Contact: hello@ascendaco.com.
Who these terms are for. Businesses buying Ovatap tap cards, counter stands and kits for use in their business. By paying, you agree to these terms.
What you’re buying.
- Physical items: tap cards and counter stands with an NFC chip and a QR code, printed with your business name or logo.
- A hosted service that comes with them: your review page (the page the card opens), your owner dashboard, and private feedback emails. It’s included in the price; there is no monthly fee.
Prices and payment. Prices are in Canadian dollars and shown on the site at the time you order. Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you order. We don’t charge sales tax at this time; if that changes, the price at checkout will say so.
Founding offer. The founding starter kit is limited to the first 10 businesses in Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG), Ontario, and is installed in person. If a founding order comes from outside that area, we’ll contact you and either refund it in full or, if you prefer, supply a regular starter kit when you pay the difference.
Setup and delivery. After payment, you tell us your business details on the confirmation page. Cornwall and SDG: we book an in-person install, usually within a week. Elsewhere in Canada: we post your kit free of charge, usually within 5–10 business days, and set it up with you on a short video call.
Your review page and Google. Your card opens a page we host. Every customer who opens it sees the same button to leave a Google review, plus an option to send you private feedback. We don’t filter who is asked to review, and the service isn’t designed to hide or discourage negative reviews. You agree not to offer rewards for reviews and to follow Google’s rules for reviews. Google reviews are posted by your customers on Google; we don’t control Google, what it publishes, or your rating, and we don’t promise any number of reviews.
Private feedback and personal information. When a customer sends private feedback, we pass it to you and keep it in your dashboard. You’re responsible for how you use your customers’ information; we handle it on your behalf as described in our privacy notice.
How long the service runs. Your card links and dashboard keep working for as long as Ovatap operates. If we ever close the service, we’ll give you at least 90 days’ notice and keep your card links sending customers straight to your Google review page for at least 12 months after that notice.
If something is wrong. If an item is faulty or arrives damaged, tell us and we’ll replace it free of charge within 12 months. Lost cards can be switched off and replaced at cost.
Refunds. See the refund policy: 30-day money-back guarantee.
Our responsibility. We take care to keep the service running, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. Except where the law doesn’t allow it, our total responsibility to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we’re not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business.
Changes. We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on the site when you paid.
Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
